Message I have replaced all of mine at various times, and replacing one did not affect whether the others worked. As just4kinks states above the problem probably lies in the speaker, not the amp. To test this theory, you could switch the amp on the "blown" speaker to the working passenger speaker and see if it still works. If it does, then you know the problem is in the speaker and not the amps.

Also look for bare wiring that is touching metal which could be causing a short in the driver's side speaker causing them fail.

And changing the fronts is really not too hard, (there's a door removal post in tech section if you search).
